Track when a provider, group, or facility is no longer active with a payer. Two fields help you manage enrollment status with more clarity:
1. End Date
Use this to record when an entire enrollment has ended. This date must apply to the full enrollment, not individual locations or lines of business. Example: A provider is leaving your organization. Set an End Date for their payer enrollment to indicate it's no longer active.
Once the end date passes, the enrollment is automatically marked Inactive.
2. Billing Status
This field allows you to manage which enrollments are currently active or inactive. By default, newly added enrollments are set to active, and the Medallion system will only move an enrollment to Inactive if an End Date is added (and that date is in the past). You can now manage this field yourself if you have other reasons you want to set an enrollment to inactive (ex: you want to send a signal to your billing team that a provider is no longer billable with a specific payer).
Where to Find These Fields
You’ll see both fields directly on the Enrollments page.
