How do I set up NPDB for credentialing?

In order to begin credentialing with Medallion you will need to make sure that you have an NPDB profile set up for the practice. This will allow you to enroll a provider with the Continuous Query Service and retrieve the NPDB report. We regularly poll NPDB to check for “Report Change Notifications” for enrolled providers and retrieve a fresh copy of the NPDB report when necessary.

Once you have completed your registration, you can follow the steps below to get started!

  • You will need to locate us as an authorized agent in order to add us - our account information is here:
    FIRSTLAYERAI, INC. DBA MEDALLION
    2261 Market Street
    #4048
    San Francisco, CA 94114
    (347) 401-1399

The last four digits of our DBID are 2162

  • You will need to send your Account Manager your DBID so that they can set up an integration with our NPDB automation

  • You should also specify “No” for “Authorized to Use EFT”, in this case, Medallion will be charged. If this is not specified, our NPDB integration will return an error and credentialing will be delayed.

  • Regarding where to send the responses, select "IQRS, the NPDB system."

***Please note: upon adding a provider to Medallion and starting enrollment in the NPDB continuous query in Medallion, a fee of $2.50 per provider per year will be billed as a passthrough fee for NPDB continuous monitoring. Previous enrollment of a provider in the NPDB through your DBID does not waive this cost.***
